The title literally means 'a tract on the firm establishment of peace of mind'. The author is unknown but is presumed to have been someone closely related to the Seizan school of the Jodo [Pure Land] sect. The eighth abbot of the Jodo-Shinshu sect, Rennyo Shonin(1415-99), found this to be a highly inspirational book and compared it to 'a gold mine'.
